"Thank you so much for including Summer Rose in your plans. I feel it will be a good thing for our community to have access to the amenities you have planned. I appreciate your willingness to build in such a way that will promote community rather than just cramming houses and strip malls on every piece of available land. We are pleased that our children will finally have access to amenities that we currently have to drive to West Knoxville to receive!"
"Hi, I just wanted to let you know that we are a Wyngate homeowner and we support the walking trail idea. Neither me or my husband will not be able to attend the meeting on June 30 so I just wanted to drop you this email. Thank you for your communication on all your ideas. Let me know if there is anything you need from us in the future."
"Thank you for considering the residents of Wyngate relative to your development. Based on everything I have seen/heard to date, I am completely in favor of your plan and I am highly interested in having access to the pool, park and other amenities. I understand that there are some Wyngate residents who feel otherwise and I hope they will open their eyes to see what a tremendous opportunity this is for our neghborhood. You are to be commended for extending your vision beyond the bounds of your development and for attempting to positively impact the entire community."
"Thank you for keeping us updated on all the events you have planned for Coventry Creek Community. As homeowners with two children in Wyngate we are very
excited and look forward to all of the plans you have included for our neighborhood. We would like to address the issue regarding the walking trails you mentioned in your last letter. We feel the walking trails will provide a benefit to our community. The connection being offered to Wyngate and access to the community center will certainly benefit our neighborhood. We are not concerned with any negative safety issues regarding the changes you pose. We feel this will make our subdivision a safer and more marketable environment. We are unsure if we will be able to attend the June 30th meeting, but we felt it important to express our full support for the proposed inclusion of Wyngate to the Coventry Creek Community."
"On behalf of my wife and I, I would like to say we are excited about the enhancements planned for our neighborhood. We love the idea of having a pool, clubhouse, walking trail, and a soccer field at our disposal. We strongly believe these amenities will enhance our neighborhood. We look forward to hearing more at the upcoming meeting on June 30th."
"As far as restaurants and stores go, we as residents don’t want a commercialized living area. However, this is something folks will compromise on if reputable businesses are the only ones included. Traffic lights will obviously be needed. The pool size should be sufficient for kids and teenagers. An Olympic style pool large enough for a swim team is not needed as a community pool. The area near the pool should not be totally enclosed…just covered. However, the idea about having restrooms near by is a keeper. It would be difficult to carry a small child ½ a mile to have them go to the restroom when it is an emergency."
"We got the notice in the mail with all of the information and I cannot tell you how excited we are that this is happening finally!! I have been thinking for the past 3 years we have lived here, wouldn't it be great if they used that old house and had a pool, walking trail, etc.!
Here is our input.
We have been teetering on moving to Atlanta because we like the neighborhood communities better. We are not moving now, but love the closeness their neighborhoods have.
A pool large enough for a swim team would bring younger people into the neighborhoods and give the kids a chance to participate in a team sport which no one seems to do these days since computers and television has become so fancy. When I was 6-12 15-20 years ago, all I did was play sports and outside, and these kids need that. I would be ecstatic if you all built tennis courts. You might consider asking the neighborhood home owners if they have interest in that, because many fun leagues could form and it would be great to meet other families that play. No communities have that in Knoxville either. I will offer to give lessons (I play USTA)!!!
The area near the pool should be partially enclosed for safety. I don't like the idea of not being able to see who is around the corner.
The walking trail should DEFINITLEY be paved. Wood chips have to be re covered frequently and mud will pool after rain. Also, it is not fun to walk a dog in wood chips because the scents tempt them to use the bathrooom on the trail. You may consider putting places for waste periodically because some people may live in a nice neighborhood but are inconsiderate and litter.
The memberships should be available but not mandatory, and I think the tiered system is not fair, so that should be out of the question. All homeowners should be able to use this if they like and pay for it. I don't know whhat is a good cost, but you could do it based on what ammenities the homeowner chooses to access. We are excited! Let us know what is decided!!"
